I am not medicated so I can't imagine what you are going through but I feel for you. Hang in there. Do something to occupy your time and keep your mind off of it. Anxiety is so terrible but be stronger. You can do it!

Yea thanks for that :-) it's so overwhelming and nothing I do takes it away it's frustrating cause I know I'll be ok but just have to fight it and beat it ! just researched on the google self help on anxiety & panic and the best thing to do a lot of people saying is (lay in a dark room flat on your back with a black sleep mask on) until it all passes sounds promising from all the outcomes from other people of our condition ! In my circumstances right now this feeling won't go away so am going to try this now !!! CITOLAPRAM 20MG - SIDE AFFECTS WHAT IM EXPRIENCEING RIGHT NOW :-( :-( -BAD NAUSEA ,CONSTANT YAWNING , REALLY DIZZY ,SO TIRED , DRAINED ,RESTLESS LEG SYNDROME ,PURE ANXIOUS ,BAD BREATHING ,PALPTATIONS !!!

MICHAELS GUNA OVER COME THIS TODAY :-) !! ITS BEEN ONE OF THEM OVERWHELMING & EXCRUCIATING DAYS TO DAY :-(

BUT IM STAYING STRONG PEOPLE !

AS WELL AS I HOPE U ARE !!

THANKS TO PEOPLE !!

I am so sorry it is such a rough day for you. But once all these bad days are behind you, you can look forward to the good. From what people are saying, you have to give your medication a chance to work for you. You are a few days into it and hopefully each day will work out a little better. The worse is behind you. You are on your way to feeling better. Have faith! I hope you tried the method you mentioned. A dark room and sleep mask sounds relaxing. You taught me something new! We are all here for each other. This forum has made me feel so much better. Keep pushing. You will be in my prayers.

Hi Michael.

I have been on citilopram for over a month now, and had the side effects you are having ,but I am feeling a great deal better now, you've got to give them time to get into your system , other things help too !.

No caffeine drinks ,go for decaffeinated coffee and coke zero.

And my only vice alcohol isn't a good idea either, but I only drink maybe 1 bottle of wine a week, the rest of the time I will drink non alcoholic wine, which actually tastes just as nice!.

Good luck with giving up smoking.

And good luck also with the citilopram.

Pete.

I was on Citalopram for six months and had those side effects too. They never went away and eventually stopped me sleeping, which made my anxiety/depression worse so I came off them. I hope it works for you - everyone reacts differently to different drugs.
