Anxiety time again!

Has anyone's anxiety increased just before they go to bed? My gp and mental health worker said I have to record it and try to identify why my anxiety raises on a night time. I think it is do with me being scared of the dark. Can anyone relate to this? Thankyou

You should try Monica A Frank's Worry Box technique i used to be very anxious before bed and since ive been doing that i sleep better and wake up way happier and it's all free... I hope it will help you. Good luck :)

My anxiety does this especially on momday before the working week. I think it because I get myself all work up for no reason just worrying what that week gonna bring

My anxiety always happens at night. Try listening to meditation music really softly and concentrate on your breathing. I also find tiger balm on my chest helps my airways open up and stops the tightness in my chest. I also gave up caffeine which has really helped my sleeping. I really hope u start to feel better soon. I really truly understand how hard it can be x

Yes--I have this same problem. I haven't checked out the link about the worry box, however I do have tiger balm. Thanks for the suggestion Olive.

For me, It's kind of a combination of anxiety and dread. Maybe it's because my dreams are so disturbing and I wake up emotionally troubled with an almost despairing feeling that's really hard to shake off.

Do you find that once you get to sleep, you're getting good rest?

Yes, I often sleep with bedside light on or tv on (volume low). After I returned from Iraq I did so for months. If you work also, the pressure of knowing you must sleep can be very stressful, its a vicious circle, not being able to sleep makes you anxious which in turn stops ability to relax to sleep. You will find endless info on internet on how to relax before bed....ultimately tiring yourself out during the day and going to bed with nice thoughts in your mind helps me.I think of my hamster tbh ;0p
