Hi Simon, sorry to hear about your work problems. Any support groups or seeing a counselor is good. Try some relaxation techniques, like meditation or listen to CD of music or nature sounds. If anxiety is really bad I suggest maybe getting a prescription for Ativan or Xanax for the times you need relief. Hope you feel better.

Hi vielpunkt,

Thank you for your very helpful advice. How easy is it to get the above meds from my GP?

I've finished a course of CBT only last week, which has given me some useful mental tools to utilise...but the therapist did'nt mention any additional medication to the Fluoxitine 40mg I'm already taking.

Hi. I've taken that too. Your GP should be able to prescribe that for you. Who prescribed the Fluoxitine? They would do it. How are you today? I'm in NYC and it seems a lot of people I talk to are in UK. Things might be different there.

Hi, my GP prescribed the Fluox, I'll try her and have a chat & see where it goes. I'm in Derby, England...it's difficult getting appointments in the UK. I will persist & thank you for the 'heads-up' on medication.

Simon.

Hi Simon, hope you're well today. Good luck with the doctor and let me know how you make out. I'm new to this site and it seems everyone is in the UK. Is HU a UK thing?

Thanks! :)
