Tonight I feel horrible! Tonight is my 7th night on zoloft. Even with the cbt therapy I've been doing for several weeks tonight I'm sick and feeling the sense of doom. Please any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Zoloft could take up two weeks. It will get better just hang in there and you will start to feel better.

Hi

Medications take time to work and sometimes you will worse before you get better and start to work properly, hang in there and see how it goes

Keep us posted

Hi. I am on Zoloft too started on 50mg and was so nauseas and out of it. I had severe panic attacks and felt like life was not worthwhile. Nausea and bad feelings lasted for at least first month or more. I went up to 100mg a few months back and feel 10 x better. I also take magnesium supplements which help. It does get easier. I am now trying to slowly come off Zoloft at doctors advice. Just need to get my life back. Just keep going you have only been on a short time....if after a month it still makes you feel bad go back to your doctor and ask to change them to another. What works for one person does not always work for everyone....its all trial and error. Good luck and remember you're not alone. Hugs

Hi me81. Sorry to hear you're suffering so much. I started taking zoloft(sertraline) 8 weeks ago. Like you I felt terrible. With anxiety we feel bad enough but the zoloft trebled my feelings of anxiety. I couldn't take to the med at all. Two days ago my doctor agreed with me that to change would be wise and she put me on 10mgs of citalapram.. I'm feeling so much better, not perfect, but better. Some people say that once they got used to zoloft it turned their lives around,so it can be good. I think you'll just have to give it a bit longer( but do go back to your doctor sooner if you're really worried about a side effect.) But I really do know how rough you're feeling. Zoloft didn't agree with me but it may turn great for you. Keep us up to date with how you're feeling as we really do care on this site xx

HI, I tried zoloft once a few years ago, and it did the same to me. Some people say it worked great and no side effects, others were like you and I .. I told my Dr. I felt like the doom zone, and I already had problems like that and anxiety. He said some people it does have neg. effects on, and he would change me to something new. Sometimes the waiting for the 2 week kick in just is not in our best interest, I agreed. Hope you feel lighter real soon, it is a very dark place to be when its only you feeling this.. Much luck, and remember, we are not alone.. Keep reaching out on this site and gleen as much help as you can..Will be thinking of you. Best regards, Candy
