Meds
Hi
It does take at least six weeks to settle on these meds & for them to work ,you do have up's & downs while your body is adjusting to them & it can feel very frustrating
I am sure things will settle down you need to maybe give them another 4 weeks & then your sleeping pattern should get better as well as these thoughts
I know that may seem a long time but hopefully it will be worth it
If you feel you are really struggling have a word with your GP

Hi
Whywhy is right it takes a while for your body to get used to the meds, if you are still worried then have a word with your gp. When I started on a/ds it took a while to get my dose right

Hi just wanted to say hang on in there, you will feel better in a little while longer, the nasty thoughts and the sleeplessness will seem like it's not worth the worry and you'll carry on as usual, that's how it was for me, it was hard at first but after a few weeks I did feel much better. All the best. X
Hi Kimmieblue I was thinking about you yesterday and wondering how you were. Noticed from the time you did your post you were awake. How are you doing.xx
Hi Cloggs, it's really nice to hear from you. I'm doing better now. Still wake during the night but trying not to get too uptight about it and if I'm very lucky I can sometimes manage a little more sleep before the morning arrives when it should, if you know what I mean!!!
I don't work at present so I think that's helping me not too worry. Citalapram is working well for me and I don't feel edgy like I did, worrying about everything including intrusive thoughts, which, for me is probably the worst part of my A&D.
How do you feel on the meds? If I remember rightly you are also on Citalapram, do you feel better.?
You're a hero of mine actually, because I could never fly to Hongkong, and I can't believe you did it when you were feeling as you did, so well done, all credit to you.
I find this site really friendly and supportive, I'm not posting much myself but I do try to post support for members when they are feeling particularly anxious and upset, it certainly helped me.
I hope you have a good day. All the best. X
Hi Kimmieblue glad your feeling better, yes I'm on citropram and they have been a life saver I feel more relaxed and don't get up tight like I used to. Yes I still wake during the night but I do manage to go back to sleep. Yes I wonder how I did that flight if I hadn't started on citropram 2 weeks before I don't think I could have got on that plane for the last 6 months if people asked if I was looking forward to going to Hong Kong I said no. Well you take care. Xx
Hi Cloggs
We're both similar then and on the road to recovery, that's brilliant. All the best Cloggs, and let's hope we carry on upwards. X
Hope so you take care xx
Thx you guys for replying. I guess im very worried and frustrated that I'm not feeling 100%. Im just really comparing this time being second time on prozac from my first experience with prozac. The first time I had take it I felt so awful being my first time ever having anxiety that I did not feel any side effects.
