For a lot of us suffering with anxiety it's a hard task to deal with. But as I've learnt just recently, every thing has a start and an end. Just take it step by step, minute by minute what ever makes you comfortable. Listen to your body, be kind to yourself
I'm getting myself back on track now hence my absence on here.
There are a lot of books out there and very good websites.
Definitely something worth remembering. Unfortunately I keep going back and forth to my essay because I just can't concentrate on it.
So I am taking a break again and hoping later (maybe this evening). I will be more equipped for dealing with it. I can't spend too long beating around the bush on it because it needs to be submitted soon. The day after tomorrow but I don't want to miss my lectures tomorrow if I can help it. I don't want anyone to think I'm not coping. So most of it has to be done today. Unfortunately most of the things have the constraints of time attached to them :/ and I don't think that helps with anxiety.
What you say is definitely worth remembering. I am just trying to breathe. And I managed to get the majority of the first essay done. Which is due tomorrow.
Yes, I feel like I'm in an Ironman Marathon/race and I can't think about it too much. I just have do focus on each individual task and move on and never look back. Easier said than done. Hopefully I'll be feeling a bit 'lighter' on Friday.
You should be able to scroll across to the next day. You shouldn't need to pay. It goes to day 10. See how you get on, let me know if you have any problems. It's a brilliant site and worth using. Xx
Oh Fay, I do feel for you. My days of meeting deadlines are long gone, but I well remember the ominous pressures associated with them. I can appreciate why you don't want others to know you're not coping, but perhaps negotiating an extension would help ease this burden, and alleviate the stress you are under. It's just a suggestion, and one I used while at Uni, eons ago! Having said that, some of my best work was done whilst under enormous pressure. Take care
Hi yummimummy, so pleased to hear you are finding your way I'll try and remember that quote, it has quite a calming mantra to it. Thank you for sharing, and more power to you in getting well soon
yummi. I have done Take10=Day01, but cant see where to go from there along to day 2 . there is a scroll bar lower down, but this just shows me, Take15 and so on in pictures Can you help please?
Agree with you totally yummimummy. Just take small steps was advice given to me and it works, plus support from friends on here , at home and my family. And several self-help books I have waded through.
I have been feeling better, still have my moments, but not so bad really.
