Chest pains!!

I know everyone's anxiety is different but just wondering if u get chest pains could u kinda describe the pains. Iam convinced that is only me that get it as it's sore and panics me. I have had my heart completely checked as I also get palps on and off. Hope everyone is having a good day xx

Hi Loopy,

I suffer this and have done for sometime. When I get stressed and anxious I get sharp chest pains which are like electric shocks which are short and sharp. I have had a couple of ECG's and had a heart scan but all was normal. It is just your anxiety causing this and is nothing to worry about. It is a very common symptom of anxiety which causes weird symptoms.

I know how u feel it can be scary. I suffer from all sorts of left sided chest pains, sharp, pinching, dull aching pains worse when i'm stressed but can come upruptly when i'm calm. I also suffer palps especially at night.

I had ECG's, Cardiac Perfusion all normal .

What worries me now are the sharp pains i get on the left side of my face, on my calf muscle, at times below the left shoulder on my back. My Dr says these may be nerve pains and has prescribed tablets but the pains persist. I'm going to ask him to refer me to a neurologist so i'm completely sure these are nerve pains.

I feel healthy one minute and the next i feel like a walking time bomb.

Having said all the above i still try to live normally by exercising regulary. I've also started learning to meditate so i remain calm more.

I'm going to work tonight so i better get ready.

I've had the most horrendous chest pain over the last few days. Stabbing pains in my side and what feels like spasms xx

Matosh. I get all them left pains on my shoulder ect like nerve pain. I think it's all linked been totally checked and my hearts fine. I justs worry as my mum had a heart attack young and has angina but that was her lifestyle where Iam totally different. Yeah ash I think ur exactly the same as me xx

I haven't suffered from chest pains since being on 40 mg citalopram, maybe it does work after all

Matos hi also meant to add my pains and sensations come from no where sometime. I don't always need to be stressed and I get them. Thanks Jules glad ur pains have eased. My go wanted to put me on citalopran but I wanted to try with medication and see how I got on and some days it's been a never ending battle. Xxx

Im sorry to hear about your chest pains & on the other hand I feel reassured that my pains are anxiety related like yours. I've had chest pains everyday for the last 7 months after boiling over due to stresss. I get an ache left side under my nipple that comes & goes also get stabbing pains in rib cage area right side again sometimes really painful when taking a deep breath in. I've had 24hr heart monitor fitted & 2 ecg's came back ok got another monitor coming in the post which I keep for a week & switch it on when I get a problem. I also get a racing pulse one morning I woke up & thought i was going to take off my pulse was going that fast. So scary like I'm going to die. Take care & good luck.

Hi cherub I have has them tests too. 15 ECgs a 6 day monitor an echo scan and I seen a cardiologist too. I just worry that's all I have had the pulse thing and I panic but I was proberbly dreaming and didn't realize lol xx good luck xxx

Hi guys first of all I'm kind of relived that there are other people with the same problem as me. I had 2 ECG test and another heart Eco test and both came back fine, but I still have this chest pain on my left side and the weird thing is that it sometimes happens while I'm really calm for example lying and last few week I don't really have appetite and I sometimes throw up. Do any of you had this kind of reaction and if yes what did you do ?!? I don't want to take medication ! Thanks for hearing me out !!!Have a good one be well
