In pain every day, need a diagnosis

Had this problem with my legs nearly six months now. My GP is lovely but only treats my anxiety. Don't they realise that people with HA do have physical problems. She told me that my HA doesn't influence her but I am not convinced. What do other people think

If you are in pain you need a diagnosis. If is HA??? or caused by it ???? you need to be diagnosed. If you are not happy with this GP try changing her with another in that practice for a diagnosis

Tests need too be done, If it is caused by anxiety, your condition ,you will need to square the circle and meet up with a CPN for coping with your complaint and its associated problems

Hi border thanks for the reply. To a degree it is my fault. I was worrying about one specific symptom so they just did tests for that. Due to dr google I had managed to self diagnose which is a failing of many with HA. I will have a good chat with my GP when I go back. I am having CBT but I think a lot of it is down to me

My mum suffered with restless legs syndrome for much of her life.

They ached and she needed to fidget them - couldn't feel comfortable with them still.

She had a barrage of tests over the years and nothing could found wrong and all the doctors did was give her Valium and then the newer variants on the drug.

Maybe it's worth asking about 'restless legs'?

There are effective medications which can be prescribed - I think one is pramipexole - worth asking your GP - or changing to a more sympathetic GP.
