Last hour it has hit me like a ton of bricks, normally I don't suffer depression more anxiety. I feel totally depressed, don't even want to be around my children. How bad is that??????
Gota be the meds I know but I've never felt this low, I want the ground to open and swallow me up!!!!!!!!!
having a bad day too; do you mind me asking what meds you are on? i have been on prozac for over a month but not feeling any better; when i increased them felt even worse but dr is adamant i must stay on them
Hope your ok deb. I am also on prozac, have been told they make you worse before better. I'm sure they should start working for you soon. If not go back to you gp and tell them. Hope things works out for you. X
O Loo
Its not bad feeling like that , I do loads of times & want everyone just to all go away
I wouldnt blame the meds as yet , we have days like this , it might be an off day , & I no they are crap
If & I no its a hard thing to do , but if you could just accept this is how you feel today , & it doesnt make you a bad person & just go with it , there is every good chance it will pass
See how it goes , if you keep feeling like this then go back & see your GP , you are taking the sleepers as well ? if you are it could be them leaving you feeling a bit hung over & low the next day , see how you go , its still early , you have done really well , dont be tough on yourself & try , if you can & I no its not easy , but to take yourself away at some time today , even if you tell them all you are having a bath , just to get some space for you , we do need it , when we have a family to look after
Love

Thanks whywhy, I'm trying to accept the feelings but their so overwhelming, I think I'm trying to blame the meds as I don't want to believe it's me feeling it. Does that make sense? Starting a new job Monday, how I'll do it I do not know xx

Your doing well & I no what you are saying
I cant lecture of meds as I am one of the worse ones taking them , I have a meds fear
I have some in the cupboard from ages ago for something else I should be taking & I no if i take just one , straight away my brain would tell me whatever I felt it will be that med I took
Common sense though if I could allow it ,would say no I dont think so not that quick it wouldnt
I no with the meds you are on they take a while & sometimes people have said they have felt worse before they have felt better , its been about a week if I remember , & they normally take longer I think to work than a week
Maybe your new job , which good luck by the way , will give you distraction from how you feel , but remember if you think these are really not for you & not helping you still are in control & you can go back & tell your GP , you are not happy with them
Think it was about 6 weeks on meds before my daughter felt better, I remember phoning psychiatrist after a week to say they were not working the advice was to keep taking them , think jf you change meds you still have to wajt for those to kick in so in a way your back to square one, just so hard to start with x
think i too am eager to blame the meds for how i'm feeling rather than admitting its just me. they increased my prozac from 20 to 40 and am sure i was worse so i have gone back to the 20 again. am awaiting counselling and counselor suggested that 20 may well be best anyway if i am going to start sessions otherwise i could feel too numb to talk. cant decide whether to increase them while i am waiting though as not feeling good
