having a bad day worrying +++about my health even though the doctor says everything is ok. I wonder if this will ever go away I have had it for about 40 years on and off. People do not seem to understand in some ways it is worse than a physical illness

having a bad day
hi millbrook1950, I agree people think we are attention seeking or just being way over the top. I have had various test done and I still worry about it or I move on to another part of my body, its never ending and causing great stress. x
glad to know i am not on my own look after yourself
Don't I know how you feel.
I occasionally try and tell my wife what ailment is worrying me and I normally get 'oh what's the illness today then'!
It's a very isolating thing which, like you, I've struggled with off and on for many years. And yes, I'm always on the lookout for another worry to take over from the one just put to rest - it never ends - I've worried about just about every organ in my body over the last 20 years!
I really wish I could show you how important it is, but I couldn't recommend 'The Linden Method' enough for recovering from anxiety. Please please please try it, it really works and will turn your life around. The man who wrote it, Charles Linden, suffered for 26 years and has experienced just about every symptom or thought that could go along with anxiety, and he has gotten over it all.
I know you are told many different things that work by many different people, with doctors prescribing medicines and CBT, but this really really does work, please, you can fix your whole life.
If you want to find out more just google 'The Linden Method' and have a look at their website, but everything you're feeling can be fixed.
Take care, and good luck x
Thanks I will do that I really need to sort my life out
