ive made a huge mistake over this weekend and have ruined a friendship with my bestfriend and my depression is making me want to self harm, once again. Haven't done it in months but I'm scared one day I'm going to overthink everything and start again....

Hey hun,

We all make mistakes and fall out with friends but it's not irreversible. Don't be so hard on yourself I know that is easier said than done but you need to accept that it isn't always all your fault. Even if it is we are only human, we are allowed to make mistakes!

Please don't cut yourself, try and work through this in your head.

We are all here for you.

Hi - it sounds like you are going through a difficult situation. You are doing the right thing in discussing how you are feeling as we know it is helpful to talk about problems. It’s important to know that help is available and that you can start to feel better and improve given the right support.

It is a good idea to talk through the way you are feeling with a friend or family member if you can. If you need to talk with someone immediately you can call the Samaritans.

It is also worth considering making an appointment with your GP. We find that talking through things with a counsellor or therapist can help you explore how you are feeling and help you make positive choices that will benefit you.

Take care

Hi

Sorry to hear about your thing with your best friend but please don't go down the self harming route, I did it a few times when I was younger and now as an adult I have to live with the scars and regret over things I thought were so important back then that to be honest I can't even remember now. Nothing is ever worth harming yourself as we do get over these humps in life.

Try and find someone to talk to like a family member or another friend xx

Hi hun, you made a mistake, every one does at some point.

please don't hurt yourself.

your mind is looking for a solution and the thought to cut is only there because you have done it before..

t doesn't have to be the answer today.

you have already taken the path to overcoming that thought - you have reached out and shared with us [well done! I am so proud of you, I can't do that yet]

the answers above offer good advice..

be kind to yourself.

talk to someone,

and please come back and talk to us.

I'm sending you a hug (( :) ))

regards,

sandra.

Hi,

It's so hard when you have a history of cutting. As soon as something causes us emotional pain we need to reach out for the one thing that will turn it all off. It's so hard to live inside our heads and wait for the anguish to pass. It's doable though. SI is a very powerful urge but if you can hold off it does diminish.

Please don't hesitate to message me if you'd like to talk about this in more detail as I do understand what you're going through.

Be Safe

Love

in reply toannwaby

Hi annwaby

Welcome to the site i can see you are new & just noticed your reply on this post

You say you are at school so you are not very old then ?

I just ask as I know it ca be very difficult when we are going through adolescence & we can feel depressed & not know what to do or where to turn

Can you talk to your parents about how you feel as a parent myself if my daughter or son was feeling this way I would want to know so I could support them

Is there a teacher or counselor in school that you could talk to ?

If you go & see your GP believe me they wont judge you but help you & everything you tell them is private & confidential

If you live in the UK phone the Samaritans the UK number is

08457 90 90 90

Please take care

Love
