Risperidone (risperdal)

Has anyone else taken this medication? Its a major tranquilliser/anti-psychotic...I find it dopes me up like a zombie and am not sure which is worse,being in a twilight zone or having anxiety.But then anxiety is something of a twilight zone isn't it.

Robbie , never taken this med , hope someone will come along later that has & can tell you more , site seems slow today & notifications are not getting threw , so bear with

If you feel these meds are to strong & you have been taking them a while , I would see my GP , they may change the dose or try you on a different one

Personally I don't want to be drugged up to the extent I felt like zombie

Thank you whywhy for your kind response.I was only prescribed them in March and have tried to use them sparingly.However,I've been using them a few times recently on bigger shopping trips with my wife.But this is actually causing more anxiety if I don't take them the next time,and that way lies addiction.

I would go & have a word with GP , you don't need addiction

There must be something better than what they have given you
