hi Heather, havent tried risperdone personally but have heard it puts on weight and is administered in some cases to calm them if they are slightly aggressive. What do you mean by an overthinking brain.apparently its quite a potent drug and hopefully you get a few more replies regarding this drug!

My local mental health lady said its a bit like OCD thought but she said I have an over active Brian regarding these bad intrusive thoughts and she put me on them yes I know they can make you put on weight and that's my biggest problem as I have Pcos which is hard four me atm and I am not really big but my weight is a issue for me and and gets me down and I got to shed a couple pound for my op but that's not gojng to happen with these my mental health lady said we have to control my head before my weight so I'm stuck no matter what I do first to drained from it all 😢 and thanks for your reply

hi ,yes I can understand your predicament ,though im still not sure as to why they were issued ,;control your head/brain,if ione has a weight problem or an addiction of some sort the actual problem is psychological, meaning you have to address the eating ,or reasons of over indulgence/plus diet theres always something that's at the root of your desire to overeat.hope that helps .or respond whenever you can

Lol no I don't over eat or have a problem with food if anything I don't eat as much as I'm meant to I have polycystic Overy syndrome which don't let me move weight as easy as the next person in other words it's like 3 times harder no matter how much I work out n eat healthy and I got the medication prescribed for in intense intrusive suicidal thoughts which she says makes them ease a bit to what I have them now if I have the medication

sorry I didn't realise or know what pos, stood for.that must be very difficult and not knowing whether to take the risperidone, which would increase your weight and the mental health person shoud be aware of this and give you something else.does this condition restrict your mobility .It obviously causes you great distress and talking it over on hear could help you a bit .its not something I know much about though I gather it must tire you out a lot.?

Me fighting my head every day is tiring and draining massively polycystic Overy syndrome can affect people getting pregnant ( had my kids before I got diagnosed) gives u male hormonal levels liek facial hair ect n makes losing weight extremely hard to loose which that alone gets me bad cause its like no matter what I try n do to loose iti may go down 1lb or stay same or up 1lb and I told my mental health lady all this and she just said we will deal with that after we have my mental health undercontriol I was like but I need this op so it's not going in ma favour at all
