Hey, I'm Both🤪🤦🏻‍♀️😫

So I have been struggling all year with being in a severe clinical depression.

I also have certain medical conditions that cause me to have pretty constant physical pain.

The last couple few weeks some things have really gone sideways and I'm completely overwhelmed.

It's like every time one problem just barely starts to get solved and rectified two more pop up.

I keep doing the things I'm supposed to do like take my medication and my supplements and do my exercises but I really wonder "Why. Bother?!?!"

I'm so lonely and isolated and alone in my life and it doesn't look like I'm going to be making any new friends or acquaintances with whom to spend time in person anytime in the foreseeable future.

I have a boyfriend but it's a long distance relationship.

He's in another country and we can only communicate via email and he has trouble doing that more than infrequently.

I knew that before we decided to get into a romantic relationship because we had been pen pals for several months so on the one hand I'm okay with that because I knew what it was going to be like ahead of time.

On the other hand I really wish that my partner could be there for me during these difficulties.

So instead I'm turning to this community and trying to get some connection and support.

I’m so sorry to hear you’ve been struggling with your depression and pain. I too, deal with both of these so I know how you feel. The pain makes it really hard not to be depressed even if your meds are working. I also agree with you when you say one problem gets solved and two other pop up. That seems to happen all the time. Its best to only handle one at a time so as not to get yourself overwhelmed.

As far as loneliness and isolation I feel the same. I have very few friends and most of them are too busy to get together. It gets old being alone all the time and it just magnifies the depression. I also isolate because it’s just too hard to go anywhere mentally or physically.

Have you been able to get together with your boyfriend? Will he or did he travel to see you? I agree it would be nice to have someone around closer to be with and talk to.

I’m glad you have joined this group. Reach out anytime you need to.

Gramas,Thank you so much for your kind and supportive words which I greatly appreciate.

I'm sincerely sorry to hear that you too struggle with these things.

Neither my boyfriend nor I are capable of traveling to another country right now or possibly ever so it's going to be an email only relationship.

A friend came over and hung out for about an hour this morning so that was very pleasant
