Ask your doctor.... I personally don't think any alcohol with meds is a good idea, but that's just my opinion....

personally I never had a problem with one glass. If I did more that , I would wake up the next morning very down and teary. For the most part I’ve given up drinking and physically I feel great. At 56 I’ve pretty much lost all desire to drink. It took me a while to figure out it was the alcohol making me feel that way in the morning. I’ve been on meds for about 35 years and have drank the whole time. I always wondered if my meds would have worked better if I hadn’t drank. But as others have suggested, it’s best to check with your doctor.

I am 46 and I think I am starting to come to this realization. I don’t get much enjoyment out alcohol and more and feeling physically better. I have been on anti anxiety meds since my 20s and like you don’t think it had much impact, but starting to wonder if it could have worked better. I know I sleep better.

It's not a great idea to drink while on antidepressants. It can interact with the meds and actually make a person feel even worse. Speaking from experience.

Alcohol is usually contraindicated with almost all medications but especially antidepressants since alcohol is a depressant.

Even 'small' amounts can render medication ineffective.

I found consuming alcohol on top of medication to be both counterintuitive and counterproductive and I am now AF.
