I have been on 100mg for years but due to health problem I went into full blown anxiety and depression my gp has upped my sertraline to 150mg which has been 2weeks now but I feel horrendous has anyone been through this if so how did you react to the increase
Upping sertraline.: I have been on... - Anxiety and Depre...
Upping sertraline.
I ended out in the full 200mg when I was in it.
Increasing the dose after years would cause some effects like this for most people. I hope since it's in your system already it won't last long? I'm just guessing and hoping this doesn't last long

Dolphin14 when you upped your sertraline how long did it take to feel relief
For me it was a couple weeks. One thing I do when I change meds or doses is take them at night, it makes the day a bit better. Not sure when you are taking them.
I take them in the morning should I not take them one morning then take that dose that night
Double check with your Dr. just to be sure he's in agreement. You could also ask your pharmacist.
That's how I always did my meds until I got used to them and then slowly shifted them back to the morning time.
This is peer advice. Something that you can mention to get some medical advice on your specific case.
Let me know how it works out.
Hey SHEPHER , I did the same thing, I have been on 100mg for years and I started feeling really anxious again and the doctor put me on 150mg, I felt so awful for 4 weeks I went back to the doctor, they said to try 125mg which I did but still felt terrible.
They said if you’re on too high of a dose of anti-depressants for your body, it has adverse affects. I’m back on 100mg now but still feeling the side effects from 6 weeks ago (it could be another health issue but either way, my mental health is not great since changing my dose).
I recommend peppermint oil tablets for nausea, deep breathing for lowering your heart rate and getting as much sleep as you can. I cancelled a lot of plans just to rest, which sucks, but I think I’ll thank myself latwr on.
Keep us posted on how you get on!
