gut problems

hey all! I'm posting this because I am beyond frustrated. For months I have been facing stomach/intestine issues. I have gone to the doctors and have had a colonoscopy which was normal. Then, I had an endoscopy a couple of days ago and that was normal too. I have awful pains in my gut. I feel very intense stomach cramps mainly at night followed by gerd and I and don't know what to do anymore. I just wanted to check if anyone has been there before and if you have tried anything to relief pain. As of now I am taking pantoprazol and I try some natural stuff too.

I know how extremely painful and horrible things can get in the gut, having the best help to deal with extreme gut issues is something you may need, try those things, half a jar of good organic Sauerkraut with hopefully get relief, and strawberry leaves a really special too.

Also doTERRA Peppermint food grade essential oils may prove to be extremely helpful in gut immune health.

I am not a doctor, but I am a fellow sufferer. I used Lomotil (Diphenoxylate / Atropine) for many years to try to control the very intense intestinal cramps and spasms. A Gastroenterologist told me to take 6 Lomotil pills and Metamucil every day until the problem stopped. But Lomotil is addictive and causes constipation.

Recently, I went to a Gastric Surgeon who has put me on a regime that is working like a charm. I've had absolutely no intestinal cramps since I've begun taking these medicines over 6 weeks ago! This is what I'm taking:

1.) Otilonium bromide (It relieves spasmodic pain in the gut)

2.) Cholestyramine (This is normally a medication used to lower high levels of cholesterol in the blood, but it has a great "off-label use" to control gut pain and the smooth passage of feces through your intestines).

3.) Probiotics (I have had mixed results with health food store probiotics, but my doctor prescribed a very high quality brand of probiotics and so far so good.)

So, I don't know if you can get any of these OTC where you are. I don't need a prescription for any of them, but I'm in Mexico. I would speak to your doctor and specifically ask him or her to prescribe these three medicines for you. I suffered from excruciating intestinal pain for approximately 60 years, and then I finally found this Gastric Surgeon who spent more than an hour with me and finally prescribed these 3 medicines. They are not addictive, and not controlled substances. I feel they are very gentle, but very powerful in permanently stopping my awful intestinal pain! I urge you to try them. They have been a true miracle for me.
