Had bad stomach pain, but only problem was gastritis. I worry about my health too much. But my problem now is that I sleep all day. Just don't want to get out of bed. I am pretty sure it is depression. I take klonopin, buspirone, effexor, seroquel and heart and cholesterol medicine. I have had these episodes in the past, but now that I am 70 years old, I can't seem to get past this one. Been this way for 2 months. Need help. Staying in bed all day is driving me crazy.

Depression or medicine
Hi jimedpear257, are any of the meds new? I don't think your age is playing
into staying in bed all day as much as depression and/or a medication making
you so tired. Have a talk with your doctor. He needs to know you are sleeping
too much. It's not good for you mentally or physically. x
Hello Fellow sufferer, I am sorry you are going through this. Do you have a good Dr. or psychiatrist. I can relate to your suffering, I am 77 and on a bunch of medicine and I hate it. I am depressed and have high anxiety, it takes a lot to get me out of bed, I did good today, I have been up all day. I made myself do chores and felt good about it. Do you have a good friend you can talk to, or do things with? I am by myself and starve for good company. I do volunteer work 2 afternoons a week, that gets me out of the house and around people, I plan on looking for more volunteer work. My heart goes out to you, I hope you will write me, or us, we will help you. Sending Love & Hugs......Sprinkle 1......
Thanks. I am married. I do feel better when I make myself get up. Depression and Seroquel may be the problem.
I think the Seroquel along with the other drugs makes you tired.
At one time I was on so many drugs that took away my anxiety but
left in a zombie state. I'd fall asleep in the middle of talking. Once the
med is adjusted things should get better. Take care.
Has this gotten worse for you since the Seroquel was added? I was recently prescribed Seroquel for sleep and it had a terrible effect on me. Even the smallest dose left me in a horrible state of depression and barely able to move. (My anxiety is usually my main symptom.) The Seroquel seemed to alleviate my anxiety by replacing it with a deep depression. It caused my blood pressure to go up too. Definitely not a good drug for me.
Get busy and I highly recommend volunteer work to get you out of yourself and get you around others having time on your hands to ruminate is never good for anxiety
One more thing stop reading about all the things that can go wrong in your body stop thinking about it stop watching it on TV stop watching YouTube videos just cut it off obviously all it does is feed the fear
You are most welcome!!!
Look into trying welbutrin. It helped give me energy
