what do you do during the day?? My brain is usually going 24/7 at about 100mph....about anything and everything....for me it's getting out of the work mindset and in to the home mindset.......unfortunately for me the work mindset usually takes over.....hate it....

I get scared at work for some reason I feel trapped. I only work 3 days a week 12 hr shifts. But right now I'm struggling in general. Just fearful all the time. I don't feel like myself yet.

As a Corrections Officer going on 26+ years I totally understand the feeling trapped concept....I also understand the fearfulness....may i suggest to you doing some research on cognitive distortions

Welcome MMAQueen. I have the same issue with anxiety worse in the morning and day, then I feel better in the evening. What seems to help me is having a routine planned so I know what is going on ahead of time. I know sometimes you can't plan things exactly, but it does help. Hope this helps a bit.

I do try to plan for sure. But I'm not good at allowing myself to tell me what it needs I feel I need to be going 24/7

when you overdo it your body will tell you by "shutting down" and saying....i can't do this today....last tuesday was like that for me...had good intentions in the brain.....but body said you're effin crazy so I slept all day

I feel I always must be doing something as well. I cannot just be and relax . Also my anxiety is definitely worse in the mornings

I have had some lu lu days lately. I am trying to learn more about Claire weeks approach. Also, i think i will try a medical dr who also does homeopathic stuff

in reply toTailWags

Please be careful when considering homeopathy. Numerous studies have shown it to be totally ineffective; it is based on the idea that the water possesses some kind of spirit from the chemicals put into it and then diluted. The British health service stopped paying for homeopathy several years ago. People do report feeling better when using homeopathic medicines, but this is most likely either a placebo effect or simply getting attention and support from another person.

Hi I hope you are feeling better. I have tried Bev Aisbett's Book 30 days 30 ways to overcome anxiety useful. Sorry if it is not the right thing for you.

I try to do anything I'm most anxious about first thing in the morning. It helps me not have as much anxiety the rest of the day. Some fun distractions help, too.

I have similar issues. What helps me most, and I need to be better at, is doing vigorous physical activity in the mornings. I find when I workout really hard, I can’t focus on anything other than that. It’s hard at first but once I get going it takes my minds off things and brings me down. Hang in there and I hope you find a solution that works for you.

when you have anxiety your flight or fight is activated and stays on. That creates cortisol and I could physically feel it in my belly upon waking. Now that my anxiety/fight or flight has shut off, I don’t have it anymore, nor do I have that dread feeling all day till the evening. My therapist said exercise will help combat the cortisol, meditation, therapy to learn anxiety triggers and help fix whatever causes the anxiety to trigger. Hope this helps.
