high anxiety

I have had really bad anxiety for the last month. I went back to my first PCP physician, the new one I had was not working out. It was awkward explaining to my long time PCP why I went to the new Doc, and I was returning to him. He took me off several drugs, cut my Zoloft dose. Once my body adjusts, we will work on adding something for anxiety. He won’t prescribe benzodiazepines.

in the meantime the anxiety continues to rise. Tornados, serious illnesses in family, on and on.

sorry for long post. It helps get it off my brain.

Hi Geodog,Thanks for the post.

The therapeutic relationship with your first provider cannot be underestimated.

I hope you can get back on track as far as meds go.

In the meantime, for anxiety, you might find it useful to research deep belly breathing and relaxation. Also essential is being grounded in our bodies through movement or exercise.

Do whatever you can or whatever you find useful.

Regards 🐈‍⬛
