I hope my post does not come across as I am complaining, because I am very thankful for medical technology. I feel I just need to get my day off my mind, to help my anxiety.
Today i went to the doctor because my foot is doing scary things, I am now In walking boot for a month and if my
Foot has not gotten better, I will have to have an MRI. I have a history of foot issues, so i am a little bit worried about what is going on. On top
Of that, the medication I am supposed to take for a week, to help with the severe swelling, is making me sick and I had an allergic reaction to it.
When I got home from my appointment today, two of my four legged kids had gotten sick today and I had to
Clean up that mess.
Also my sister called me today with really sad news,
That makes my heart hurt for her.
So it has been an interesting day and now my anxiety is out of wack tonight. I am definitely not getting any sleep tonight.
Thanks for listening to my day, I do hope everyone is doing well during this crazy time in world.
Sometimes you need a good prescription that will put you to sleep. Not sure if your doctor has prescribed you anything. Also when I lie awake I listen to self hypnosis from U tube and at least that relaxes me even if I don’t fall asleep. Good luck. Insomnia makes everything worse
That’s a lot to handle ! I hope things turn around for you. I wish you good news and good luck. Remember to take care of yourself and try to get some sleep. If you are unable to sleep, give your doc. a call.
Oh no!! I am so sorry about your foot. And about the reaction you had to the medication. That happens to most of us. Did you switch to another medication yet???
Try to think of the MRI as a good thing. It’s the next step that has yet to be taken to figure this life long issue out. It’ll most likely, hopefully give you some answers (: which is what we all need to help with anxiety.
Also, poor little fur babies ): I hope they are feeling better!! Is it doggies?? I know canned pumpkin is a natural anti nausea for dogs.
It’s never fun to hear bad news from people you love. Especially when you can’t do anything about it. But you can always be helpful and supportive. Which, I am sure you are great at.
Try not to already set this expectation of not sleeping tonight. Because you can manage anxiety symptoms. Yes, it’s hard sometimes and takes effort, but sooooo worth it. Do things that help you find peace. Even if it means doing this the rest of the day.
Yoga (of course yoga sitting down) -my favorite instructor is Cole Chance. Look up YogaTX with Cole Chance on YouTube!! Even type ‘beginner’ as well. This is where you will find most of these calming and non standing practices.
Meditation. Look on YouTube, or, InsightTimer is my FAVORITE meditation app. I’ve tried about every meditation app out there. Just click on the free version, and start searching!
Reading or audiobooks.
Doing crafts you like.
Coloring. It’s known to have the same affect as meditation.
Journaling.
Camomile tea.
Aromatherapy.
Sitting in the sun.
Watch a funny tv show or a funny movie.
Whatever helps you feel peace.
You’re day can always get better by putting in the effort, and trying to change the way you think about things. 💕
