I just joined. At first glimpse this looked good and helpful but I took the assessment and was shown what I thought was an article on dealing with anxiety. It took me to a treatment page, there was no article. My question is for other users here. How has this website helped you deal with your issues? Is it specifically just to blog or are there other useful articles or tools to cope? Thank you!

Looking for a supportive place
I haven't a clue what you are talking about. What assessment? There isn't any here.
I could be completely wrong here, but I think what NatureLover may be talking about is the "Needs Assessment".
I haven't taken it myself, (because I've been going through a lot lately) but it's located in the top right hand corner.
.
Basically in the top right hand corner where you see the"Menu icon", click that and then click "Needs Assessment".
Again.. I could be wrong, but I just noticed that assessment myself the other day.
hello naturelover234, this is a place where discussions take place between mostly sufferers of anxiety and depression. it depends on what you ask and who responds. there are guidelines to follow and disclaimers about this not being a replacement for professional help. lots of support and experience that come with depression and anxiety and the opinions that come with that.

Welcome to the community.
I'm not sure what pages you were taken to. I don't remember doing anything like that.
This is a peer to peer support group, no medical people. The admin team does put up articles on varied topics.
This is a place to post, like you did, and pose questions and get replies. This is not a blog
I've been on the site for a few years. It has been a great help to share with people who understand what it's like to live with mental illness.
I hope you find the support you need.

"Is it specifically just to blog or are there other useful articles or tools to cope? "
First and foremost, I just want to welcome you to this site.
This is a good and supportive community here.
.
Second, I'm kinda going through a lot of problems myself lately, so I may not be the greatest of help, but I'm trying to be.
This website is basically kinda like a support group community for different forms of anxiety and depression.
.
It may not be a traditional support group where you sit down inside a circle and talk with others for 1-2 hours, but think of it more as a support group community of people that is open 24/7/365 days a year.
You try to help others, and try to get help in return.
.
If you are looking for more resources, there are some on the ADAA.org webpage.

This website that you are currently on is on their main website.
Which is actually how I found this website when I lost my previous support group.
Hi Naturelover,
We are a bunch of people who have come here to get advice from others with similar problems, and, in turn give back to others who come after us. We are a supportive community of people in the various stages of depression and come together to help each other.
Cheers, Midori
