Ah...I feel this one. Being a cat person myself. The are a great way to reduce anxiety, and I can understand losing them can be particularly difficult. I hope they end up in a good home :\

I am SO SORRY. Giving up an animal is SO difficult. Can you try to work with an animal rescue? People who work with rescues will often go the extra mile needed to get an animal into a new home.
Am so sorry about having to re-home your cats. Must be so heartbreaking. Do something to nurture yourself...my heart goes out to you.
Thank you all for the replies. I'm ok...still upset over it. They'll be a le to find good homes. I made sure before I took them to the humane society. They're healthy cats, so they'll get into good homes they said. It just feels so odd without them 😕😞
Ashley, I'm so sorry. I can imagine you must be devastated. If you can find somewhere else to live (assuming that is the problem) would you be able to get them back?
No unfortunately 😔. But I'm just telling myself they'll be better cared for and taken good care of. I had to do what was best for them. Even if it hurt me in the processMy parents,who in staying with again, can't have any more pets here other than their dog. Who i absolutely love, he's such a good chubby baby. So he's also helping me a little bit through this
I'm sorry. It must be very hard for you and you will have to take comfort from the fact that they will be well cared for. Enjoy the dog, and one day you can entertain the thought of having another cat. I have had several and I believe that you get a better relationship if you only have one, but sometimes, other cats come along.
Thank you for the kind responses. I truly appreciate it ❤️. I may get another cat one day. But not for awhile. My hearts still sad. I miss my kitties. And I can't easily replace them like some people. If it were only that simple for me 😔😕. I do have the doggo with me though for now. Here's a pic of him

Of course, your kitties will be forever irreplaceable. Getting another now would do no good. This is for the future. The dog Sock looks such a sweetie. Enjoy her/him.

I'm so sorry I know how you feel I had to give up my dog when my mom passed away My friend and family made me give her up it was hard because I promise my dog I wouldn't give her up I let her down 😭
That's how I feel about my cat. He was special to me 😞. He was born with his 2 front paws paralyzed, and I just gave up on him 😭

I am glad you found some people to talk to. I only just saw the email alert. I am very sorry about your cats. I feel pretty down, not helped by the awful weather we are having in the UK. I am actually dreading this Christmas, as last year I was alone and sobbing my heart out knowing I was going to have to have my beloved cat put to sleep which i did the day after Boxing Day. I have two other rescue cats who I love but it was not the same as my dear old Smudge. I don't have any family, my husband died when my daughter was three decades ago and now I have evidently served my purpose emotionally and financially with her and my little grandson so I will be alone with my two cats. I hope you have a happier time and wish you all the very best for 2024.
