heat and stress?

I live in Texas, it feels like the flames of hell right now and it’s causing a lot of stress on me and my family. Stuff that’s normally nothing is a huge thing because people are tired and hot and just little puddles of giving up. Do y’all know any ways of trying to cheer people up in triple digit temps and no rain in almost two months? Thanks I’m advance

hi, I get it. I am in AZ. same thing.

do you have cooling ice things? if not, try to get a few....to put on the head, neck, a variety.

If able, can get a blow up pool, fill with water and some chlorine.

Know it will cool down in time.

Sit in front of fans , take cold showers, put water in fridge and put ice in it. Then pour it over head during the day.

If there are any mountains with cooler temps, try to go for a short stay.

Hold a bag of ice during the day for a bit, drink lots of liquid and electrolytes....water like Essential brand is what I drink. or Gatorade.

if there is any water nearby, go for swims...

distract while inside with ac....playing games or anything you enjoy...

it will pass, I hear you....

sending support ....xx

I'm worse from heat too. 2 mo of it and another to go..hottest on record. I try to walk by some woods by 1030am but hard to get motivated. I got out in it yesterday for 4hrs in and out of car and was exhausted. It will pass , we re over halfway pt. Reading but I need to paint or get a new hobby., Do some volunteer or something nice for others. Know youre not alone.

I have been reading a lot this summer, baking too actually. It’s weird when an oven doesn’t feel as hot as outdoors

Is there a local public pool you can go ? Maybe an air conditioned building like a mall? I have family in Texas I know how horribly hot it gets there and can't imagine feeling happy in that temperature.
