How to release Anger inside your body!

Hey guys !

How do you guys release trapped emotions ?? I can honestly feel the trapped emotion in my stomach which I feel it’s anger. I get nothing but intrusive thoughts about her and at times I get this burning sensation in my stomach as well. It’s because of an ex gf , I’m trying everything to “let go” and release this from my body . Any good suggestions / ideas ??

Thanks 🙏

it’s hard when it’s a lost relationship you really cared about is the answer I think for whatever reason…..time is the healer …keep yourself as busy as you can in the meantime if possible so you’re not dwelling on stuff …if the anger is with yourself for not doing something different learn from it maybe apologise…..if it’s something she did you can’t change that …disclaimer I am in no way qualified to offer relationship advice on a professional level …ss

I'd strongly recommend the gym or exercising. It has helped me remove negative emotions or feelings that have resulted from events in life. The added bonus is improved fitness as well as happiness in seeing your body and mind improve. The weights or the distance you could run can serve as the space or tools to let emotions out.

Like  Sillysausage234 says, keep yourself occupied and exercising can lead to encouraging more productivity in other areas of life too. Work on building yourself up and eventually you will ignore what is not useful anymore so that you can focus on something better for your future.

I agree, consistent exercising helps. Having a new goal to work hard towards, perhaps sa new hobby like a sport. You can start volunteering at your local organization something that you are passionate about. You have to keep your mind busy on something else. Focus on you and the future not the past. Is okay if thought linger but is not okay when they start interfering with your happiness.

Stay focus on the future and know somehow better for you in coming but if you are holding on to those negative emotions, you won't be able to attract the right one because you would be in a low vibrational state, you need to be on a high vibrational state, high energy, and is not going to happen if you are filled with angry.

I physically take the anger out with punching bags and have done axe throwing. Then I've exhausted the physical nature of the pain and need to focus on the emotional healing. I've lost a lot of friends due to illness recently and I'm angry about it. I want to believe I wouldn't be doing such things if I were well.....and can point to many times I've been the one person to show up for several people. For mem, physical anger needs to get out of my trapped body via hard releases of energy. Exercise, as mentioned, can do the same. I'm just not much of a gym person, I prefer to play sports, etc which you can't always find the time or people do that with. On an emotional level, I can say time does heal as others have mentioned too. When I was served divorced papers blindly in 2018, my world froze. I froze. I had rage, sadness and then worry for the three kids (step dad is awesome, dad is a terrible co-parent). I found the most healing through therapy or talking with friends. People that can pull you out of circular thinking are one in a million and if you find one, it's a pure diamond! I even had two talk therapists at a time to make sure I was keeping up with my mental health! Break ups are brutal no matter who did the break up. It hurts tremendously. I am so sorry for what you are going through now. I wish I had the "single" solution. Maybe we can all figure it out on this site and become rich and famous! ;). Sorry, small joke. Will be thinking about you. Just remember, you are important and you can get through this. Post here as often a needed. I love that this site is global and we are reaching people and engaging in ways we never thought we could. Virtual hug, covid free!

Hi @Sushi2345 I hope you are fine today,

You may try writing this anger and the reasons that make it, then burn the paper you wrote it on. This is a physical and tangible way to make things like anger and emotions disappear.

Keep us updated !

Take care,

Love from France

Get out into the (relatively) wild for a while, dig a hole in a bank or under a tree and scream down into it as hard and as long as you want. It helps, but don't do it close to humans, they don't seem to like it! :)

Cheers Midori
