New job anxiety

Hello everyone here. I'm just writing this because I have no one to share with.

I think I have anxiety. I have never got any treatment for this mental health problem.

Today, I started a new job, and actually during the work, I felt anxious the whole time. My mind is going crazy now, I'm anxious cause everything, my coworkers, new knowledge about the job, etc.

I don't know if I should quit the job. I had two jobs at the same time, one working 100% online and the other one working in the office. I really love my online job but I don't earn much money from it so I was looking for another job.

Maybe tonight, I will not be able to sleep. I overthink every single thing.

Sorry for my bad English though.

Wish everyone is doing well.

Thanks a lot!

Hi there are you new to this group if so welcome ! Have you seen a doctor for your anxiety ? It may help to see your doctor there's so much they can do to help you ! Do they have a human resources department were you can get work related help ! The offline job sounds like you tolerate it because you don't need to interact with others try and get some help with this all the best !

Yes, I'm new here. But how do you know it?

I have never seen a doctor for my anxiety cause money is a big problem and I have other needs which are needed to care about more than my anxiety. Everytime I have anxiety, I will try to forget things and try to think about posititve things, sometimes they work. However, in this case it does not work.

I think they don't have a human resources department where I can get work related help.

I'm happy to find the online I'm working and want to do it for the rest of my life because I don't need to interact with people.

Thank you for leaving a comment on my post! It means a lot to me, actually.

Wish you all the best!

Your feelings are normal, everyone is nervous at a new job, but some find it easier to cover it up than others.

Don't quit, it will make you even more nervous at the next job, Stick at it, it will get easier as you get to know folk and the job.

Cheers, Midori

It's totally normal to have fear about starting a new job so try to be kind and reassuring to yourself about it. Also, the anxious thoughts are just old lies your mind is telling yourself in order to protect you but the reality is now that you are an adult you no longer need protecting and can take care of yourself. The way to heal is to never believe the anxious thoughts and don't let them stop you.
