woke up and already feel anxious and like j want to sleep all day so I don’t have to face it. I have work I neee to do. I can go to the coffee shop but idk if that’s smart since I’m anxious. I’m terrified to eat. Last night I was able to eat a bowl of chicken noodle soup and a small slice of pizza. I just want this to get better. I’m scaredS my boyfriend leaves this morning too and I’m afraid this will all be harder once I’m alone.

Your feelings mirror mine in the mornings. Searching for answers

thinking of you and sending you love! It is so challenging. I want to lay in bed but sometimes I think the best thing I can do for myself if force myself to get up and do things. It’s just really scary

Chinaadventure in a nearby post speaks of talking to himself in the mirror in the morning. Telling himself he can do this. I think it might be worth a try

Before my psychiatrist found the correct mixture of meds for me, mornings were the worst!! It is torture to wake up anxious. I’m sorry you’re going through this.

thank you! This doesn’t happen all the time, just in periods where my anxiety is hightened

I suffered terribly with it for almost a year. Now I’m able to do my morning grounding techniques of meditation and self awareness. I love mornings now. It’s the 4 o’clock depression slump that I deal with presently.

that’s not something I have tried but it might be worth a shot! I am so sorry to hear you’re dealing with the 4 o’clock depression

it’s easier than the morning anxiety was. I’m just not fit for human contact at 4 o’clock. All my friends know this and call at their own peril. Ha. Ha.

I hope you feel better real soon. Maybe some warm oatmeal?

Not sure if you have tried / found it helpful at all to put on some ambient music or sounds when you are needing to get work done + are alone. I know that may not be helpful depending on how you're feeling today in particular, but worth a try?
