fillings

hello I’m having a filling replaced on Thursday it’s one at the back of my mouth and it’s so old the amagram think that’s what it’s called you know the silver ones .I’m autistic and I always research anything medical heath wise which I hate because it makes me feel worse .Am just wondering are dentists qualified too take these out ? I’ve been reading so much now I feel overwhelmed and upset .also I’m aware these can cause lots of problems like high mercury level etc but it’s only one that I have and never had any red flags with mercury on bloods.will I be okay thanks

All of mine have been replaced simply because they wore out. The dentist is trained to deal with any filling.
