Ut OH, I STOLE SOMETHING

I had a problem a long time ago. It started at Walmart. I filled my cart with rose bushes and there was nobody around to check me out. I kept asking for help and nobody would help me. I waited and waited nobody came. I got mad and took the buggy to my car and loaded the roses inside. Then I walked back to tell somebody and put away the cart. I found one of the employees who said he would send someone to help me 45 min ago. I told him I still needed to pay and he snapped at me. I turned around and grabbed the buggy and filled it with more bushes and left. Next I moved on to trees at Home Depot, trading out a coat I I was wearing for another at Good Will. I walked out of a department store with a hat on...... I was such a mess and just didn't care anymore what happened to me. I was amazed I never got caught. The fear and excitement gave me a jolt for a moment followed by self loathing.

Two days ago I was at Walmart doing a self check out. The big bag of dog food wouldn't scan so I moved on to the rest and left. NO jolt this time, just feeling bad. Feeling like I am slipping back into crazy.

Lmfao I don't mean to laugh at your chagrin, but this sounds like the plot to a comedy movie.

Walmart and Home Depot are major corporations that allocate funds toward theft, lost and damaged merchandise, so your stolen items aren't even a drop in the bucket. I wouldn't lose too much sleep over this.

Just quit while you're ahead lol

I’m seriously not making fun of you but the way you explained this made me chuckle like I can imagine it in my head like it sounds like a movie. But like that’s why people steal or do other illegal things even speed you get that endorphin rush and such. When I was a kid in second grade I stole some kids bag full of change because I wanted to get stuff at the vending machine at my moms work. I’m just curious how you were able to get out the door with the big bag of dog food everyone been complaining about how hard it is to steal from Walmart anymore. I do wonder how your bushes and trees are doing did they atleast survive?

The dog food was right on top. I handed the security person my receipt. She looked it over slowly so I inched toward the door and put my hand out for the receipt and she gave it to me. I wished her a Merry Christmas and left. I do it right out in the open and relax so they don't sense fear. It is a big bag.

How did I steal trees? I picked out three Aspen trees, put them on a cart. I pulled my cart across the front of the store to the rent a truck area. Again I intended to pay for the trees. While I was renting a truck, the helpful guys in orange loaded the trees in the truck. They were all smiles, well I didn't want to spoil the moment. I drove home and unloaded the 3 Aspens with a guilty giggle.

The roses are amazing and serve as a thorny fence. One Aspen died.

I was walking out of work one morning with a coworker. It was holiday time and there were beautiful large wreaths hanging on the walls. She put one over her head and walked out with it. It was huge. I could not believe it. We were cracking up the whole way out the door

The hat- I was shopping with my mother-in-law. I found this great hat and wore it around the store the entire time we were shopping. When we were checking out I was very aware I had it on my head. Nobody said anything. When I got to the car I saw my reflection and told my mother-in-law I forgot to pay for it, and asked her what I should do. I was ready to go back in and pay. She shocked the hell out of me. She said " DRIVE!"

Sounds like something my mom would say 😂

Oh, dear. Is it bad that I'm laughing?

it's okay to laugh. it did give me a thrill and the happy brain chemistry felt great. shopping always gives me a boost. I have one credit card and owe 16,000! I don't know how I will pay that off. I shop online now, no stealing. it feels good to browse, dream, to put something in a cart and revisit it delete items... eventually I buy. Next is the thrill of watching the package move around the country. then a package arrives! I get to open it like a present.

I once stole something completely by accident. My fiancé and I went shopping at Walmart for his parents. He felt his parents home needed a few items, one being a new toilet plunger 🪠After we gather the other stuff, stopped by the aisle with all the toilet stuff was in. Look at the toilet plungers and I randomly chose this white one. And put it in the cart. We went through checkout. Paid. Came back to his parents house. Unloading the groceries and my fiance takes out the plunger 🪠 and here's a rattle. So he take the plunger out of the holder it came with and lo and behold a lipstick 💄 still sealed.

He showed it to me as asked if I put it in the cart. I said no. He goes "we stole lipstick 💄😅" I said your lying. He tossed me the lipstick. Nope, he was telling the truth. I think a naughty makeup fairy hide it in the toilet plunger stand & put it back on the shelf.

I still have the lipstick. It just so happens to be my color 😂

omg, I’m thinking Frankie of Frankie and Grace would do this. Feeling guilty is pretty healthy. I mean it is wrong and not supporting the practice but I’m kind of jealous of your chutzpah.

I actually read retailers don’t persue shoplifting. They just raise prices for everyone and make their employees feel frustrated. I really have no sympathy for Walmart.
