Medication struggle

I have been trying so many different medications to help with my anxiety and it has become very disheartening. Pretty much every one I've tried has such bad side effects that I can function normally. I have tried lexapro, paxil, zoloft and am now taking wellbutrin. The wellbutrin has heightened my panic attacks and makes me feel like im living in a dream state. I thought I was gonna pass out last night. I'm just really exhausted and frustrated with the process. My anxiety is making it so hard to live normally but the meds are just as bad if not worse. I have no health insurance and feel like I don't have the money to keep going to doctors and buying new meds. Anyone have any advice?

I take Ativan, the smallest dose @ a half of 0.5 mg. I take it as needed and it does take my anxiety away. I don't know if your Dr. will prescribe it to you though because it can be habit forming. Also, deep breathing helps somewhat too.

Mayne see if you can apply for financial assistance or such maybe you doctors could give you the resources for that. Also I’m also struggling with medication even the benzodiazepines don’t seem to do anything for me and even made me worse

I'm so sorry your meds don't work for you.

I was prescribed like 6 meds until I found one that helps me the best.

I was on Xanax for 10 years for anxiety and panic attacks.

than last year, after my sister's death I went into depression to.

I could not control.my attacks with xanax.

they prescribed zoloft, which made my anxiety worst, than

Hydroxyzine, Propanolol, and Trazodone, which almost killed me.

I could not breath from Trazodone.

right now im.on a very low doze of escitalopram, 10.mg.

take only half of the pill.

also I take Clonazepam, a quarter of pill , as needed, because I have a job and it can make you sleepy.

clonazepam is 0.5 mg prescription.

I was like a zombie, trying all those drug's.

Maybe my experience will help you.I don't like m e to take the whole doze the Dr prescribes.

Many timesare just to strong for my brain, so I just take a little bit of the pill, to see how is reacting to my brain. If it stops my attacks, than I just go with that low doze.

Buspar has been the only medicine that helps with my panic attacks. I pair it with Lexapro to help with my depression. It has generic so can get on the Walmart low cost meds. Typically if you call the doctor and tell them about isde effect they dont make you come back in, or mine doesn't, she just calls in a new medication. Ask for Buspar! Its better if you take at least 7.5 mg three times a day but can go up to 40 mg three times a day. I started at 30 mg three times a day with severe panic attacks having to call 911 several times. Now down to 15mg three times a day.It totally helped me! Give your Doc a call!
