I previously posted about a problem with a co-worker where she yell and I stood up for myself.
Well that night someone let all the air out of my tire. The repair man filled up and there weren't any leaks or nails. I called my supervisor about it and the gal that did it gave her two weeks notice the next day. Good riddens.
once again I stood up for myself and got vandalized.... I won't retaliate I am not that juvenile and I won't break the law. it just sucks. I swear I attract assholes.
I feel deflated.

Sorry that happened, but glad she will be leaving. I hope you really don't believe you only attract a??holes because you seem like a good person to me. Sending peaceful vibes. 🙏
Good for you for standing up for yourself, the reality of it is that some people will not like it and take offense to it, possibly even relatives of yours. It can be distressing to realize that not all people are good and will do stupid hurtful things, but in continuing to standup for yourself and improve your self-worth you will realize it has nothing to do with you and it's their problem/issues not yours. Part of this process is also getting over the idea that everyone has to like us, which is not true and unrealistic.
Thanks, you just made me understand why I don't stand up for myself- fear of retribution. I am going to have to ponder that for awhile.
I don't care if people like me or not. I never cared, I've always been a bit strange and people don't like that. I was raised to be very polite to people, everyone and nowadays that is not the way people act. I rarely curse and am shy and don't talk much.
You're welcome. I was shy too and thought that I didn't really care what people thought about me but in reality I really did, just something more for you to ponder. I also had social anxiety disorder from bullying in school and growing up in a emotionally repressive household which explained a lot of my behavior.
