Since evening time I was having crawling restless sensations throughout my body and now here it is 4:30 am and haven’t slept. It is torture. Every time I try to get to sleep I have to move around to deal with the uncomfortable sensations rushing through me.
Anyone else go through this? I think it’s time to go to the doctor on this 😬 😨 😥

Ok. Here they are. I hope one or some of these helps:
Compression stockings. (The tightness helps calm my movements)
Magnesium oil
Magnesium pills
Epsom salt bath
Hot and cold shower before bed
Electric massager
Lidocaine Plus (for desensitizing the nerves)
Freeze gel (my legs loved this; the rest of me did not)
Putting a jet sprayer directly up to your legs (I discovered this remedy after being in a hot tub and absolutely loving the feeling of being right up against one of the jets)
Weighted blanket
Rife Frquencies for RLS (type this into Youtube. These are similar to binaural beats. As crazy as it might sound, listening to this helps calm my legs. They make me go crazy, but that's beside the point).
Thank you so beautiful friend. 🐬 I was not aware that people got this feeling in the morning too, I managed to sleep 4 hours but sensations getting at me now and I will see a doctor asap. ❤️ ⭐️ I think I’ll go to urgent care actually so I don’t have to wait for an appointment.
I sincerely hope you can find relief for this. I’m sorry you had to have a sleepless night. I wish for you healing and offer you my prayers for ease of these troubles. ❤️
Hi sorry to hear this Starrlight. I have a friend who has it and she went to the Restless Legs Syndrome community on here. She found that some people have got relief through using a very low dose of Tramadol. She now takes it (but only when essential) and says it really helps to control it.
thank you Hypercat! It used to come at night but now it’s morning and I feel it… I wonder if I am triggering it somehow. I should lay off caffine I feel.
it’s a restless feeling or crawling feeling especially in the legs so that you feel you have to move around and it makes it impossible to sit still and sleep.
not sure about severity so not sure if it the same but I do and it seems movement related. If I stop exercising for a few days or if I have been walking a lot and then stop and don’t replace it with something else.
Hey, my mom deals with this stuff too, and she deals with it on a nightly basis.
I just got done asking her what she's been using lately.
She's been switching it up between: (all 3 she uses the Roll on version)
Zim's Max-Freeze Pro Formula Roll-on
Biofreeze
and
Aspercreme roll on lavender
She doesn't have a favorite, but she suggested that if you were going to pick just one, to start with the "Aspercreme roll on lavender" since it has a "lavender scent" and it may help you get back to sleep easier.
"I feel the same; having the want to protect and help everyone. As a whole much more realistic. "
Here.. I actually remember my first orientation from High School.
Somebody was at the podium, and basically said (something along the lines of) "You get out of HS what you put in".
AKA.. Basically be a part of High School, and you'll get more out of it.
.
Well.. I didn't participate that much in HS. (and I barely skated by with my grades)
Sitting on those wooden gym bleachers, I was really bored during that speech.
But as I've gotten older, I still remember what was said, and try to apply it whenever possible.
.
My motives with this site are simple. Try to help others, and ask for help when I need it.
I truly enjoy helping others. It makes me feel good, but I also know that there are some things (more like picking your guys/gals brains type of advice) that I will need for myself down the road.
A lot of the (asking for help) I'm still not ready for yet, (even though I have done so already) but also hoping that you guys/gals will be able to reach out and help me when I will be asking for help. (so I can "try" to get back to helping others)
.
Let's just say that I want to get waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more out of this site/community (both helping and receiving help) than I did with High School.
So cool! Yes you get out of it what you put into it and you are doing a great job on here. ❤️
Starrlight, restless leg syndrome can be a side effect of taking certain psychiatric medications. I was taking Vrylar for awhile and that happened to me. I kept feeling like I had to get up and start walking around late at night. Eventually I switched to a different medication and that feeling stopped. Talk to your doctors about having this. One thing I would do that helped me cope is sit up in a chair and get a tennis ball and move my feet over the ball. Anyhow, I’m glad I switched medications and I don’t have the restless feet anymore. It is a weird, awful feeling.
Thanks for your response. I’ll talk to my psychiatrist soon. In meantime I have a homeopathic restful legs pills, lavender oil to rub with, magnesium and Benedryl as sleep aide.
