Principles and Self-Esteem

SurvivingEveryday profile image

I have been working in a great self-help book called, 'Buy Yourself the F***in Lillies' by Tara Schuster. In it, she asks the reader to ask themselves:

1. What are my principles?

2. From Where do I draw my Self Esteem?

This is a really fascinating topic for me, and I am working my way through answering the questions. I am curious... what are YOUR principles? What gives you confidence, or self-esteem?

This is super hard to answer, and maybe it is even fluid for some of us. But, what makes you.. you?

I go by my own particular code of ethics, as I don't belong to any organised faith group. I accept any and all who will talk to me without preaching.

I have many friends.

Cheers, Midori

I love that!

Since you read the book, what are your thoughts so far? I just roll with it and self esteem comes from self love. ✌️

I think that I agree with the author in that our morals, principles and ethics can be fluid at times. The author says that we are evolving daily and that we change with each new experience we encounter- whether good or bad.

For me, I don't prescribe to any religion, so I think I am more philosophical in my ethics.
