I can't think of a better distraction than romance. My daughter was collecting pretty and unique rocks on a walk in a park with her guy friend. At the end of the walk, she left the stones. Then she and her friend went to a smoothie shop. There, she mentioned she wished she had kept a few of the stones. Then her friend pulls out two of the rocks she had left behind. Unbeknownst to her, he had pick them up when she wasn't looking. She took one and let him keep the other. I don't think I've heard of a sweeter or more innocent story in years.
What is the most romantic gesture you've experienced, seen, or heard?

That was sooo sweet of your daughter’s boyfriend. 💕 I’m still trying to remember an outstanding romantic gesture that I received. Hopefully, I’ll BRB? 😁
What I found so sweet was that there was so much innocence behind his gesture. He probably just picked up to rocks to remember their day together. Or maybe he just thought the rocks were cool too.
Yes, but let's keep it on the romance side I love that .....
he treasured the beauty of something she admired. He quickly put the rocks in his pocket when she wasn't looking. He was astounded when she mentioned the rocks later on. He said I saw you admiring them so I picked them up. He reached in his pocket and pulled out the rocks. He said, here please keep these as a memory of our day together. As their eyes met she said, let's each have one so we both have a token of this beautiful day.
Then she told her mom, her mom told the forum and 🐬 took pen in flipper and wrote the story
😆 He actually gave her both, but she returned the romantic gesture by giving him one. Oh my gosh, you're bringing out the details that is turning this little recollection exercise into a full blown movie scene.
I guess, for me,LadyZen, it’s not one thing. I can’t think of one particular romantic gesture that stands out from others. It’s the whole picture. . A lot of small gestures add up to one big one. The person makes you feel like you matter, are appreciated and thought of. Like what your daughter’s boyfriend did. But I’ll accept a dragon being slayed for me once in a while. 🥰
Chivalry. You’re right on. Dragons never existed. They just represent a fantasmagorical image of romance. Like Prince Charming riding in on a white horse. I prefer black, though. We don’t need saving. 😁
Now, I'm picturing Isinatra in her blue cap and yellow shades riding on a black stallion to go save her man that got beat up by the dragon. 😃 A reimagining of the classic fairytale.
