I've struggled with my weight for most of my life. I've always been skinny. I didn't break 100lbs until 7th grade. In 8th I was 164lbs because I was a heavyweight on the wrestling team. After the season to the beginning of freshman year, my weight plummeted. My depression escalated to levels I had never experienced before. This led to lots of unhealthy decisions that have scarred me physically, mentally, and emotionally. I began the year at 116lbs. Over the past three years I was able to bring my weight back to 160lbs. Over the past year my weight has become an issue again. I went from 160 to 136, and was luckily able to bounce it back up to 155. I have been working so hard to gain weight recently. Ever since college started I have been eating four meals a day, and they're practically all protein. I went home for the weekend, looked at the scale, and I've lost 4lbs. I talked to my younger brother who has been working really hard on his physique. He thinks I might still be in caloric deficit and recommends that I eat six meals a day. Four meals is hard enough already. I'm going to try to eat more but this is killer. Luckily, I'm actually able to eat now because I was prescribed an acid blocker, but this is a strain on my stomach. I feel sick a lot of the time now. I'm not really sure what to do besides contact a nutritionist. Hope everyone is having a good day.

Protein isn't the best thing to eat a lot of as it isn't the biggest weight gainer and it also makes you full. You would be better off to eat more dairy including hard cheese and butter not marg.
You could also have high calorie snacks as well. Try nuts as they are very good for you but high in calories.
Why not put your post on one of the eating sites here as they probably know quite a lot about food.
Thank you for the recommendation! The eating and food sections are very inactive, at least from what I've experienced. Since I posted I've been doing research and I'm going to try and healthily adjust my diet.
I actually left the only active one because the admin told me they only recommend free information. It was my experience. I am not affiliated with anything. I had provided a variety like on this post but that wasn't good enough. I really can't get behind dr. google especially for food because there is so much misinformation and not complete information. I have thought about contacting another admin because this just doesn't seem right. It is a shame because I think it leans too far low carb high fat. There are many options out there that are just as good if not better. They need another voice.
Buy a $50 set of resistance bands for weight training. And use them daily. Don’t worry about your weight if you are at an ok weight.
I recommend starting with the basics of nutrition. Primarily protein will not sustain you. Most healthy diets follow the "Eat food, mostly plants, not too much". I do not recommend a source that is focused on one diet. Rather I recommend a source that is more general. Eventually you can decide what works for you. (by diet I mean lifelong, sustainable)
I found this book which you might find in your library or it is pretty cheap. goodreads.com/book/show/243.... I have not read it.
I have really like Noom but it is expensive because you get a private and group coach. My favorite part are the daily lessons. I have learned a lot. You can use it to gain or lose.
I also use plate joy. Less expensive than noon. More than a book. Might make it up on groceries. It is not a meal service. It is an app that gives you a menu based on a whole bunch of criteria. It also builds a shopping list. The recipes are amazing and if you hate cooking there are grab and go or quick options. I have used it for years because I don't want to think about cooking and I love their menus.
