Last week in The Yucatan! It is traditional Mayan fruit too. I had it in a fresh drink sin azucar (no extra sugar). It was very refreshing. There are actually two. Red and green. Red is sweeter. Green is used more often in savory dishes.
I despise this fruit with every inch and every drop of my being my mom and dad are obsessed about this fruit . I sadly got tiny spikes was In extreme pain I was trying to open it next time I will use gloves I have very sensitive skin and it was a pain in the rear to remove the spikes also it’s mostly seeds 😓
How sweet that this fruit reminds U of good times U spent with your grandpa. Sometimes I smell food that reminds me of my grandma’s cooking. A very comforting memory 4 me
As Shnookie says, funny how things or edibles can be a reminder. I was only 5 when my grandmother died , but what I mostly remember was she always had little bags of orange and lemon sweets.
Sorry I didn’t reply to y’all. I was just not having a good day yesterday. I’m a little better today but I do apologize for not replying to all your wonderful responses. Just know that I do read them all ❤️
