I don't like the dentist I don't like the doctor I don't like the hairdresser. Anybody that comes at my face with sharp things I have serious issues with.
Knowing this my primary care provider advised me to take a larger dose of Valium an hour before the appointment and when the appointment started. We also tried Xanax. Not even nitrous gas could knock me down. I don't mean out but down. Even with an IV sedative I ripped the arm out of the dentist chair. It was hours later before the adrenaline lowered enough in my body that I could sit still let alone lay down and sleep.
Sadly my sister spent 3 days in a hospital after a hysterectomy. She had the same response. Even with massive tranquilizers she did not sleep that entire time.
Has anyone else experienced a change in their medications efficacy due to anxiety or depression? I've asked the doctors and I can't get a clear response. Not the medical doctors at least.
