Alone and overwhelmed

Hi, I'm new here. Really been struggling the last few weeks. In addition to being depressed and unemployed I am completely overwhelmed by everything that is going on in the world. The worst thing is that I am completely alone. I don't have a supportive relationship with any family members and I don't have any friends either. The only person I have to talk to is my therapist. I just wish I had someone to take care of me.

That is terrible, I'm so sorry. I hope you'll be able to lighten the horrible weight on your shoulders.

Yes, I do limit my exposure to the news. I've been listening to comforting music and podcasts and watching funny movies but I'm still feeling stuck in this depression.

Thanks. I have an appointment with my therapist today. Hopefully I will feel at least a little better after that.
