I am currently dealing with depression and anxiety . I feel like it's taken over a big part of my life and I'm trying to figure out a way on how to manage. If anyone can help me out with that it will be much appreciated.

Depression and Anxiety Unwanted
Hello and welcome to the board.
We're not doctors or therapists here, but we do read and respond from our own experience.
Anxiety and depression are two sides of the same coin. That's why their treatment are so similar. Anxiety can wear on our body/mind causing our depression. Depression kicks in and we get anxious dealing with the lack of resources our body/mind has available. It's a loop.
Right now, simply sitting on my couch in the morning and responding to your posts, my body is tense: shoulders hike up around my neck, neck muscles are tight and I have a slight headache. Why? It's my bodies reaction to being nervous. And it's in a heightened state right now because I've been nervous for awhile. Nervous about what? I have generalized anxiety so there's no direct cause. It will pass in time, so I let it be here and go about typing this.
There are many ways to manage depression and anxiety. Therapists can help you find a good path. You can also chat with your doctor about it. A book I always recommend is 'Hope and Help for Your Nerves' by Dr. Claire Weekes. What helps me? I use tapping, EMDR (Eye Movement therapy although I use my hands instead), relaxation techniques and many more. Whatever works in the moment.
Do some searching on this site and you'll find a lot of information. Good resources. And past posts from members of the community.
