Low sodium.

My recent blood tests show that I have low sodium. Any one know the best way to improve it ? I have been using more salt, dont know if this is a good idea. This has happened before . The doctor took me off Fluoxatine and gave me another antidepressant. This made me really feel really down. I'm back for more blood tests tomorrow to see if my sodium has improved. If not they will likely change my pills again. Fluoxatine can cause sodium to be low. I'm dreading this changing the pills as Fluoxatine is the best one I have had. Any ideas folks ?

See what your sodium levels are tomorrow and then ask your doctor

if you need to change your diet at all. Maybe just changing your medication

will prove beneficial. Let us know tomorrow what the doctor says. xx

Most SSRIs cause reduced sodium levels. If they become too low it is a problem.
