I heard music star Lee Ann Rimes speak online last week and she shared her story of coping with intense anxiety and depression. She said was trying breathing exercises one day and realized she was chanting. Over time she began recording her chants and decided to share them. I have found this one song particularly helpful in moments when my heart is racing and my thoughts go dark. You might check it out. youtu.be/xDTCBjY6PNY

Are you like me? Are you seeking peace in your heart?
That was beautiful! I needed that, I had a hard day, my thoughts wouldn’t leave me alone. Thank you for sharing.
Nice
I also calm myself with smooth songs but I listen to jazz
Jazz is very nice, too. Do you have a particular style or musician that you like?
I don't know if u will know my favorite. I listen to old school music only even in Jazz. There are guys from 1940's like Johnny Hodges, Ben Webster, Sony Rolling but I do love Keny G's slow jazz as well. I love alto saxophone
I certainly know Keny G, but I will check out the folks from the 40s, as I love old school music! Thanks for sharing!
Quitehi I'm quite new to jazz and breaking myself in gently,to be honest I came upon it as I was browsing music albums,so I gave it a go and definitely helped,so I'm listening to quite a lot of pmj(post modern jukebox)and finding some of there stuff really fresh and quite addictive, best wishes Steve
