Not trusting doctors
Oh but it is my friend. I use to feel the same way as you.
Thinking that the doctors are just missing something with my symptoms.
How can Anxiety make me feel as if I might die any moment. There's got
to be something physically wrong with me.
But...after years of mental and physical anguish as well as an array of specialists
around me, I decided to give them the benefit of my doubts lol
After all, I was having unnecessary tests (MRI/CT) X-rays, blood tests, Endoscopy,
Ultrasound and on and on.
Exposing myself to harmful rays as they found nothing each and every time. I put
myself more into harm's way because I didn't believe the doctors.
When I finally changed my way of thinking to a more positive approach, I started experiencing less and less symptoms. It was then I realized, how powerful the mind can be.
How a thought can become a physical reality in symptom only because there is no functional reason for the pain.

Yep it is/can be just anxiety, Anxiety can mimic many health related problems. Racing heart, palpitations like your having a heart attack, chest tightness, chest pain, numbness in your limbs, throat tightness, you name it.
Listen to Agora1’s advice. Health anxiety is rough, but you can work your way through it. Don’t give up.
The lump in the throat is a very well known symptom of anxiety disorder known as ' Globus Hystericus'. I had it 20 years ago and had a barium meal hospital investigation which found nothing physically wrong. I accepted this diagnosis and the lump in the throat immediately went.
If your symptoms aren't caused by anxiety and are physical then they wouldn't cease when you visit the hospital.
Instead of calling an ambulance every five minutes I respectfully suggest you accept the symptoms for the time being. Whilst you continue to stress and obsess about them you are releasing fear hormones which your sensitised nervous system feeds on. So I say again: your doctors are right, this is anxiety which is why you chose an anxiety forum to discuss it.
So stop fighting your anxiety and accept it for the moment. That which you resist will persist.
Hey there,I do not know the symptoms of ur enxiety but it seems like something that needs a professional. What if u don't go to the doctor but to a therapists. This could be an emotional rooted thing. Yes enxiety is not the same to all of us, each one of us has our own symptoms but if a drug does not work, it could be something else.
