Since losing my beloved dog Yonnie a neighbour's cat is spending hours sat on the stone where my Yonnie is buried, she is there every day as if on guard and it does give me hope that there are things we do not know or understand, but cats have an extraordinary ability to understand grief, joy and loyalty.❤️

Hi secrets22,I'm very sorry to hear of your loss. I do believe that pets have a very special connection to us that goes much deeper than any of us can comprehend. Your word extraordinary is perfect for this! They can sense things we can't.
I think this cat somehow knows that you buried Yonnie there, knows the unbelievable hurt in your heart due to this, and wants to comfort you.
Can I tell you another story that illustrates this extraordinary connection?
My brother and his family said goodbye to their beloved golden this summer. The day was beyond painful, but also extraordinary. The parents knew their dog was near the end, and so decided to take him to the hospital that evening. Their eldest son, who was extremely close to the dog, was leaving the next day for camp. My brother, who was extremely close to this dog, was leaving the next day on business. I swear the dog sensed the family momentarily splitting up, so what did he do between the eldest son saying his goodbye before bed and being put in the car ? He curled up and breathed his last.
Yes, it sure is. I had a hard time holding back tears as I read his email to the family. You're very welcome 🤗.I caught the last 20 or so minutes of a movie once about a dog that was very touching. I looked up the name afterwards. When you're stronger, you might want to look it up. It's called "A Dog's Journey". VERY touching story about a dog's journey after dying.
Did you ever dress Yonnie up for Halloween? I dressed up our Jenny in a hot dog costume once. She hated it with a passion! She tolerated next year's Halloween dress a whole lot better. I tried dressing up one of our other dogs as well, but his reaction was like "come near me with that thing and I'll never talk to you again", so I didn't.
Good morning secrets! How are you feeling today?Oh, ok. Just wondering 😁. Here's some ideas from me:
-When my childhood dog died, I made a scrapbook of him throughout the years.
-when another one of my dogs died, my family and I shared fun memories of him. My husband and I found a picture of him we liked and had it put on a pillowcase. We like to make it talk, as in "take me out guys. My pillow has to go".
-yet another one of our dog's pictures is framed and hangs by the pantry since she loved food.
-I also have a "home" for my mom, who died in 2021. It's a memorial of sorts. It has her favorite things in it. Her "home" has a permanent place in my home so that I can look at it everyday.
Everyone has their own thing that helps them through grief. I hope my ideas get your creative juices going on what you can do to help yourself through this super hard time.
That’s so beautiful,I think it’s got us all crying, I hope it has helped you to understand there is something else going on here that we don’t know about, and things happen for a reason,
To everything a season, a time to live a time to die,
This is the universe sending you a message through this amazing cat. Yonnie is definitely sending you a direct message! I agree with dolphin and cavalier 100%☺️
Hi Roddy. That's such a great story. I have 4 cats and they all have a special way to make you realize that they're better than a lot of people. They give unconditional love and kindness to those who treat them with kindness. I'm so glad this cat has bestowed kindness to you and your beloved Yonnie. Hope all is well my friend.
