I’m adding topamax to my brain ugh but if it works I hope it will be worth it. Anyone have any experiences you can share with me? I know we’re all different but maybe just to get a sense of what I might expect.
It helps with pain and is a mood stabilizer as well as an appetite suppressant.
I think the side effects are dizziness and nervousness.

God, the geodon made me so nervous at first. Adding Lamictal helped that a bit. But it went through these stages periodically where I would realize how nervous I was and then suddenly "feel" the way to relax a bit more. It happened like once a year, and it took a decade, maybe, but now I don't feel that nervousness anymore.
Oh many good things. It helped me with binge eating, migraine, my general mood. My sister used to say “I love Topamax Sister more than the usual one” . But I believe dosage does matter and it changes from one person to another.
My doctor told me to go up 25 mg every week but my body adjusted more slowly. Whenever my dosage change I have had nausea and a mild irritation feeling so I moved slowly.
I took topimax for a week 15 MG and my arms from elbow to finger tips are numb but are also in excruciating pain. I stopped taking it and a week later arms still hurt so bad don't know what to do? Help if anyone else had this problem.
I had memory issues. Did you call your dr? Do you think you feel comfortable putting up a post? Other people may chime in.

Starlight, let me know how you feel on Topamax, since I was reading about it and thought I might want to try it. Good luck!! We all keep trying new meds, since the effectiveness doesn't work. Or if we are on a med for a long time, we have to change it since it doesn't work forever. Not very easy for any of us. I am on Desvenlafax one, and most recently am using using Buproprian as an add on. It's okay, but my brain works slower, which is not good. I took Vyvanse for 3 years for my binge eating disorder and ADD. It was great, but the effectiveness began wearing off and I became very nervous, so I had to go off of it.And on to the next med!!! Good luck to you. I hope it works.
