New Years

Feeling lonely tonight, although I'm sure that's how most of us feel. I'm not home so I'm really missing my friends and family. I wish I had hope for the new year but I have a feeling it may be even worse. I've always hated NYE but much more so today. I'm always reminded of the people without comfort, homes, stability, love. There's so much riding on "purging" the old year and "hyping up" the new year. But will it really be a "new year"?!

One of my best friends tried to commit suicide on this day (thankfully didn't succeed). He's still gone now but I always think of him today.
