Starrlight, I've probably said this before to you but will say it again (and loaded with ❤).
STOP striving to make yourself feel better. STOP wishing or wanting to feel better. When you learn to truly accept all those negative thoughts and feelings, doing sod all about them and make your life bigger than anxiety (take it with you), you will start to recover.
If you are looking for a really good quote about recovery from anxiety, I'll leave this one with you. It's true too.
"You won't get better until you stop trying to get better."
So instead of looking for things that inspire me to keep going I should let myself feel miserable and not run if I don’t feel like running not hang out with anyone not reach out? Help me to understand because these things I strive for and try for keep me hoping ... so did you find what you wanted by not trying to get better?
Sorry, I might not have explained it very well 🙄 By all means, live your life as if you didn’t have anxiety (you seem to be doing this 👏👏👏) but do it without any expectation whatsoever that it will bring relief from the symptoms you are struggling with. This is what I mean by not striving for recovery. Recovery is a by product of doing those things that inspire you [making your life bigger than anxiety) and accepting all thoughts and feelings lt’s great that you have those things to keep you going because anxiety has a tendency to squash those feelings!
