Sending positive healthy thoughts your way!! Be strong
Hi Shannon97, If you were in a dangerous arrhythmia in the ER, they would not have sent you home. I have a feeling what they gave you were 2 Benzos (antianxiety med)
Definitely follow through with the referral so they can address the issue and relieve
your fears. Let us know after you've been seen. Good Luck with your appointment xx
Iβm sorry to hear that. My mom experienced that before and an angiogram will tell you everything. Best of luck π
Your Cardiologist will order an angiogram which is a diagnostic test that uses x-rays to take pictures of your blood vessels. Itβs the best way to find out if you have blood clot, heart block...
There are some great books out about reversing heart disease. I've read three or four of them. Exercise and a healthy diet can reverse even heart failure. Study up on your condition so you can be your own advocate is my advice. Google reversing heart disease.
You have to get aggressive to find out what is going on. They usually give you a print out when you leave the ER. You need to know WHAT they found and WHY and what to do about it. Did they refer you to a Cardiologist?Information can be your best weapon against fear.
Shannon you are in the right hands with your doctors! Youβll be okay. Run up some steps to reassure yourself your not having a heart attack or anything. If you were running up steps wouldnβt be possible .
i wish i could thinl like that π i literally dont no how to think anymore π xxxx
It's a very scary feeling to have your heart racing so quickly, but you are NOT having a heart attack or heart block or cardiac arrest and you don't have a blood clot. You have some kind of tachycardic arrhythmia (a rapid rhythm). You and your doctors will get to the bottom of this. I have a good friend who had the same thing and also works in health care. Keep a notebook and when you have these episodes, write down the date and time and what you were doing when it happened. That will be helpful to the doctor. Bring someone with you to the doctor so there's a second set of ears, and write down a list of questions in advance. Hugs from a U.S. nurse.
