I’m mixed and it causes a hold on me living my life how I want. Multiple relationships have ended because parents would rather judge me because of my race rather than meet me to get to know my character and who I am. I didn’t choose to be mixed so why do I get punished for it?

Why does screen color matter?
No one, absolutely no one has the right to judge you by anything but your character! Period. I am so tired of the ignorance of others. Why does a color even have to come up at all? I remember years ago being bullied in a bar because I mentioned I was part Indian. And apparently, the ignorance continues... There is a movie that I have watched probably 25 times if not more. And I've always told people that I felt it should be shown in grammar schools and on. Have you ever seen the movie, Remember the Titans? Yes, it's a movie about high school football, but it goes much deeper than that. Denzel Washington stars in it and the movie is very powerful... These parents you are talking about desperately need to be educated and stop being idiots. They are the reason kids today still grow up believing the lies about different races. I'm getting angry now so I'll leave it here. I'm here when you need or want to talk! Hugs.
Philosophically speaking, the "garbage-people," those passing judgement on superficial criteria such as skin color, empower the rest of us to appreciate and cherrish those that still have the courage to wield an open mind and open heart.
Personally, I'll champion open-mindedness to my dying breath. The heart on the other hand, well... the world is a cruel place. Best of luck.
