I miss my sister. I feel so alone.

I want to be with her and my heart is breaking. She makes me feel better, and worthy.

i'm sorry for your loss :( maybe you will see them again one day in the after life. Until then, do you have anything that reminds you of her? when I was down about my sibling when I was away for them really long was that I kept a symbol that reminded me of them and whenever i missed em' i just held onto it.

I lost my sister, Medora in June after a long illness. Im in UK she was in New York. Trying to organise a funeral with an estranged husband, bullying half sister, etc was stressful. Though im next if kin i was dismissed, ignored, contradicted by most. But i am a spiritualist. My sister and i were physically but not spiritually apart. I know shes without pain and suffering now. Ive done a few things in her memory, donated to charities, bought a Dora Doll, had a celebration of life party with homeless and rough sleepers, picnic on my mothers grave, decorated a still born and neonatal grave. Ive still got a long list of thing to do in her memory. Im also looking after me. I went to the seaside for a week, pamoered myself, had foit care and painted my toenails yellow. We have to go through the grieving process. It comes to all of us. Hugs, prayers xxx

Sorry for your loss.

We have to find comfort in knowing they are no longer suffering.

All those things sound like good ideas.

I’m attending a wellness retreat in a week and hoping this is will me alone time to grieve (I have two young boys at home who keep my busy).

The wellness retreat sounds like a wonderful idea! You sound like you were a good sister and you had loving relationship with your sister. We miss those who loved us well and were easy for us to love. So sorry for your loss. Our church has a Grief Share support group which has helped many people. You might want to check if there is one in your area?

Thank you. Yes! It’s not often we find people who we can be authentically ourselves around- I cherished that with her.

I would like to look into that - thanks for the idea

Good morning! Just wondering if you had any luck with finding that program? I use SO MANY of the twelve step principles even now!! Hope all is well! HUGS!
