POST 10: TERMINATED FROM ANOTHER JOB [SIGH]

Hello All, I hope you all are safe and well. I have some bad news, so here it goes.

As of Monday, July 20, I have been officially terminated from my job as a cashier at a local grocery store. I have officially started on April 20 (I know 4/20 lol) and I started out as a personal shopper where customers pay to shop online while I pick out their orders for them and let them know of any items that were out of stock. I wasn’t being fast enough, according to management so I got demoted to cashier. I hated the cashier job but I managed to bite the bullet and do my job. That is until.....

One day on July 8, the store was getting pretty busy during the lunch hour. I noticed that there were lines piling up into the aisles of the store. After I rang up this nice and kind lady, I was trying to get another customer. I’ve seen this customer looking dead at me and I was telling him he could come on. However, he felt that I had an attitude with him so he was loud and said that he was going to another register because he felt that I was being rude. Although my day was already stressful as it was, the bullet I have been biting has flew out and I got on the customer. Here’s a dialogue of the verbal altercation:

Me: Hello. You can come.

Customer: Oh no, I’m going to another register because you’re rude!

Me: Good, then go. Bye!

Customer (talking to the other cashier): She’s rude and doesn’t have customer service!

Me (ringing up another customer): Man, go to Hell!

Customer: Really? Chile please, you’re already there, you’re already there!

Me (under my breath): Yeah, like your mother.

Customer (stormed up behind me with his fists balled up at his sides): My mother? My mother? Really? My mother will drag the dog shit out of you, you f***ing b***h! Where’s the manager at? You need to be fired!

Store manager intervenes: I’ll take care of this customer. Just go cool off in the break room.

After I went to the break room, I was told by my supervisor to come to the manager’s office to talk about what happened. Afterward, I had to write up an incident report and was told to go home and relax for the rest of the day.

Then back on Monday, the store manager came back from his vacation and I was working the register as usual and my supervisor had close down my register and told me the store manager wants to talk to me. He told me that after the corporate office has reviewed my incident report, they’ve decided to let me go. I had to clear my locker, clock out and leave. Also, I’m ineligible to work at that supermarket for 6 months, which by then I’ll probably have a much better job with a better pay that matches but all and all, that’s what happened.

My problem is is that living with mental illness is really causing me to lose jobs left, right and center. I just can’t seem to hold on to a job for at least a year or longer. The only job that I’ve had for a year was working at a nursing home as a receptionist but I ended up leaving there for another job. It’s not cool that I lose my jobs and the employers not caring about my mental health.
